For the 19th Asian Games, hecoos xR powered the online studio broadcast from the opening ceremony through the closing ceremony, supporting 16 consecutive days of real-time xR production and daily live coverage.

Building a Reliable Real-Time Broadcast Workflow

The system utilized two hecoos servers working together in a coordinated workflow. The rendering server processed real-time virtual environments, while the compositing server combined live camera feeds with virtual scenes before delivering the final output.


The workflow provided two channels of 4K signal output to the LED screen, while an additional composited virtual crane shot was delivered directly to the director's desk, giving the production team greater flexibility during broadcast creation.
Expanding Camera Movement in Virtual Production


A virtual tracking crane arm enabled seamless transitions between presenter close-ups and wide virtual environments. By maintaining accurate spatial relationships between camera movement and virtual content, the system allowed broadcasters to achieve dynamic shots beyond the limitations of a conventional studio setup.


Through real-time rendering, virtual compositing, and tracking integration, hecoos xR supported a stable long-duration virtual production workflow for one of the world's major sporting events.
