The 2026 CCTV Mid-Autumn Gala brought together large-scale stage visuals and live production for one of China’s major annual cultural broadcasts. hecoos supported the show’s visual playback and control, powering a projection and LED setup across a complex stage design.
Technical Overview
Application: Live galaMedia Servers: 5 hecoos media servers
Display System: 40 projectors plus a main LED screen and additional stage LED displays
Key Feature: Previsualization for advance stage and projection planning
Inspired by traditional Chinese xuan paper, the stage featured a large, irregular structure that served as a continuous visual canvas for projected imagery and LED content.
The stage’s irregular geometry and the tight preparation schedule made advance planning particularly valuable. The production team used hecoos’s previsualization capabilities to review the stage and projection setup before arriving on site.

For large-scale live productions, previsualization offers a practical way to connect the creative plan with the technical requirements of the actual venue. It allows teams to work through spatial and mapping considerations before moving into the final stages of production.
With playback, control and previsualization capabilities within the same workflow, hecoos helps production teams prepare complex visual environments and bring their designs to the stage under tight schedules.
